Creating an Account, Logging In

Go to the main page of Classblogmeister.com and click on "Register." You will need to know your e-mail address, and the district's passcode to create a new blog.    

 

Templates and Control Panel

Now, you get to pick a "look" and a name.  ClassBlogmeister has 7 templates from which to choose. 

 

Accepted Web practice is to create a cryptic name that sounds like an in-joke:  "Sheltered Sanity," "Vampire Librarian,"Big Pink Cookie" and "Conscious Living Poetry" are taken already.

       Publishing an Article

            Choose "Articles" from the control panel. 

            Don't forget to click "publish," and add a link to a podcast if needed.

 

      Setting Up a Class

            Remember to protect your students' privacy.

             Two ways for students to interact:  articles & comments.

             Remind your students about Livonia's AUP

             Acceptable Use Policies are required by federal law.

 

Student Pages

     Students can personalize their blog pages: photos, podcasts, bios

 

           

Adding Pictures, Links, Podcasts, Tags, and Maps.

 

    Adding a photo cut & paste: <IMG SRC="http://www.PictureAddress.jpg">  Replace the red text with your image's URL. 

 

    Adding a link cut & paste:  <a href="http://PutWebAddressHere">Put what the text should say here.</a> 

    Replace the red text with the URL of the link, and the blue text with the words you want your readers to click on.

 

    Adding a podcast: just add the podcast URL to the box underneath the body of the article. 

 

    Making a picture into a linkReplace the red text with the link you want readers to be able to visit. Don’t forget the “http://” !  Put the picture you        want readers to click on in place of the blue text.
