Below are some tools to get you started on making videos.  This cateogry includes applications for turning still images into slideshows or "movies" (with or without narration, audio, or music), music videos, and screen capture programs.  Applications that must be downloaded are marked with an *asterisk.   Some tools, such as VoiceThread, have many uses, from slideshows to interactive commentary to hosting; others perform a single task, but do it brilliantly, such as CamStudio.  

 

Please note that this is a small selection of a variety of tools changing minute by minute.  But hey, these tools come through the internet filter...
